My stay at The Great House was pretty great overall, though there were a couple of things that could’ve been better. The space was super charming, especially the rooms, but the breakfast menu left a bit to be desired. I had a relaxing night, but a few issues with service made it not quite perfect.

The twin room I stayed in was wonderfully decorated, extremely comfortable, and had a fab view of the garden leading to the Thames. I loved the fresh milk and nice teas in the fridge, really added a homey touch. However, it was also a bit hot during the night, which made it hard to settle down at times.

The concierge and staff were genuinely friendly and super helpful throughout my stay. They efficiently carried my bags to my room, which was such a nice touch. But on the downside, my wife had to ask for a bathrobe and there wasn’t one available initially, which felt a bit off for a special occasion like our wedding.
